Annual Membership

The purpose of the Western Rosemalers Association is to promote the stylized floral painting of Norway that was an art form passed down through an informal apprentice system. Members of WRA are encouraged to continue the high quality of workmanship set by their predecessors and achieve this by their commitment to the sharing of painting techniques and design ideas through study and instruction with other members and the public. Some of our members are expert rosemalers; others are beginners, all with a love for the art form.

Membership in WRA gives you the opportunity to receive instruction from visiting and WRA qualified rosemalers, plus access to our library of more than 300 rosemaling books, photographs and designs available for loan. You will learn of classes, activities and tools of the trade through the Acanthus Vine newsletter published four times a year. At each of the three general membership meetings of the year, you will have a chance to meet other members, exchange information, check out our library materials and be offered educational programs.
